either use d20 SRD and make it a dnd 3.5 game with rolling or make it a complete RP based off of a particular anime where it's a play by post. it would increase forum activity and bring some fan fanatics to your site.

it's actually a very common tool in low traffic forums to increase volume as well as expand horizons. When I started the anime club in high school I had to counter balance it with role playing in the end we out numbered the football team 2-1. since and even before play by forum rp's have been quite common.
